Hi, I'm Megan Blakely! I'm currently employed as a Learning & Performance Senior Analyst at Cigna as part of the Sales Performance Improvement Team.
My Story
I am an educator and life-long learner with a decade of experience and a passion for learning & design.
I started my career in education after earning a double major in English and Journalism with a Masters in Education by taking a position as an English teacher specializing in gamification. At administrative request, I took a coaching position (with no prior experience) and became an 8 year straight state championship winning Olympic style archery coach.

Five years into teaching, I was tapped by administration to design & deliver a new composition course whose original curriculum I crafted to fill writing skill gaps I identified as existing in the 7th – 12th English curriculum. With my love of technology & innovation, I designed my course to be delivered in a fully blended learning style where all elements of the course were virtual while I was there in person for coaching. There was virtually no direct instruction, as the course was fully differentiated to meet various learner profiles, levels, and needs through the branching LMS structure & video walkthroughs.

When the pandemic hit, administration asked me to change roles again to full time instructional designer and trainer. My job was to transition the full faculty to delivering engaging virtual instruction and utilizing best practice when leveraging our LMS. My specialty is in EdTech for assessment and engagement.

I am excited for this new chapter as I transition into the corporate world of L&D. I am excited to share my learning with others.
